Alright! Here's my first Substance Designer material. I first started by watching several hard surface tutorials (the latest one was from Javier Perez, available here on Artstation learning).
So I approached my material by creating a basic design in Photoshop, something simple that could easily be managed in Substance Designer.
During the design stage, I knew I would later change some details in Substance Designer, so I just let the inspiration came freely to me.
There's nothing like this procedural workflow, to see all the shapes merging together to create something awesome. I love that feeling.
It may feel like chaos sometimes, but it's totally worth it!
One more thing, a word of advice: keep your nodes distribution clean and seamless, otherwise it's easy to get lost in an ocean of nodes.
Thank you!
This is a raw view of the nodes, the only thing i can say, is highly important that you stay clean with your node organization.
